Over the past 12 months we have completed some very challenging and difficult projects, which have included:

CYC YACHT CLUB, Rushcutters Bay

Demolition of unused slipway, reclaiming the area of land and constructing a commercial grade carpark. This project required an understanding of the circumstances onsite, mainly working with tides and the public and patron usage of the site during work hours. The project included the demolition of all previous infustraucter, importing a large volume of compactable fill, construction of gabion walls and associated works.

RETAINinG WALL, WHALE BEACH

During a heavy storm and torrential rainfall, a retaining wall lining Whale Beach Road was washed out onto the road, pulling out laid services with it. Some temporary shoring bulker bags were put in place and the mess lay dormant for 18 months.

Kuringai Civil were engaged after the client faced many walk away reactions from other trades. Kuringai Civil offered a realistic approach and delivered new Besser block walls complete with a new concrete driveway, second tier walls, piering foundations and dress stone cladding to finish. All with no interruption to the flow of the adjacent traffic, while compiling to all local council requirements, needs and certifications.

UNder Ground CARPARK, ERSKINVILLE

Due to poor construction, this block of apartments is undergoing complete remediation. Our first job here was to underpin the entire block from underneath, within the basement carpark. The exit walls were deflecting, some up to 200mm over a 3m high wall.

Kuringai Civil cut trenches in the slabs at the base of the walls, piering down to rock, site geo-tech inspection carried out, lured caping beams, fabrication and installation of steel columns, steeled formwork and shotcreting of new shoring and underpinned walls.

Adding to this, we installed all new drainage systems to eliminate the massive amount of seepage water flowing into the carpark - the major cause of the failing walls.
